Linda Spencer

New Business Co-ordinator, KNH

Linda

Linda is a key account manager for new business projects at KNH.

She is an experienced housing professional who has previously worked in the area of housing management and was an area manager for 12 years. In delivering Peer Reviews, her specialisms are estate management, allocations and lettings. Linda has worked as part of the majority of Peer Inspections Reviews and is qualified as a focus group leader.

Educated to degree standard, Linda is a member of the Chartered Institute of Housing

Andy Selman

Director of Business Development, KNH

Andy

Andy has experience of working in consultancy and policy development with HQN, Northern Consortium and CIPFA.

He is Company Secretary at KNH and has wide experience of governance issues. He is author of books on CCT and Best Value and numerous papers on topics ranging from tenant involvement to performance improvement and neighbourhood management. Andy heads up KNH Consultancy Services.

Simon Rogers

Simon

Simon is an experienced and respected housing professional. Under his leadership KNH progressed from a one to two to three star housing organisation.

Simon chaired the partnership board that delivered a £250m improvement programme to the Kirklees housing stock over the past four years. Simon has provided mentoring for Chief Executives and Board Members as well as coaching for senior Council managers. Simon has been involved in several peer reviews including that of an RSL, and is an independent board member for an almo.

Paul Buckley, KNH

Paul
Paul has 30 years of experience in the housing sector working in the private sector, Local Authority, Housing Association sector, and presently with KNH.

Paul has managed diverse portfolios, from investment through to housing management and regeneration. As a qualified manager he can give your organisation a unique insight into change management and neighbourhood management with true customer involvement.

Since Pauls’ appointment in 2003, his unique blend of customer focussed performance management has reduces rent arrears from £4.2m to “1.5m and empty homes from 1200 to 385.

Dan Ilsley

Service Improvement Manager, KNH

Dan
Dan heads up the Business Unit in KNH that provides support services including communications and marketing, performance improvement, project management, customer services and customer rewards.

Dan was the project manager for the inspection from which KNH gained three stars and is Prince 2 qualified. He has worked with many housing organisations to help them prepare for inspection and to develop, and embed performance improvement systems. Dan has also delivered several best value service reviews, market test and tendering exercises and also performance and cost benchmarking of services.

Steve Wilkinson

Principal Housing Manager, KNH

Steve
Steve’s current policy portfolio covers Community Protection, Community Engagement and Environmental Services.

His extensive work background has primarily been in housing management, having worked as both an Area and District Housing Manager in Kirklees. A specific focus of his work now is building effective partnerships with the Police, Youth Offending Teams and the Councils Anti-Social Behaviour Unit. Steve is a member of KNHs Consultancy Team and has prior experience of undertaking best value service reviews and, more recently, peer inspection reviews.

David Bennett

Principal Housing Manager, KNH

Dave
Dave is currently the Principle Housing Manager in charge of the Rent Assist Team at KNH. The team is responsible for income generation, money management, and management of the 840 Leaseholder we look after.

Dave’s’ background is mainly within the delivery of front line housing management services, having been for many years an Area Housing Manager and Neighbourhood Services Manager. Dave is a member of KNHs Consultancy Team and has experience of undertaking peer inspection reviews.

Satnam Basram

Neighbourhood Operations Manager KNH

Satnam
Satnam is a senior manager with KNH and has 20 years experience of working in Housing.

He has worked in both the voluntary and statutory sector. He has worked as an advocate for homeless people, in Private Sector Housing, in Housing Management and in a Housing Strategy role. He specialises in housing management, strategy and policy development, interim management and trouble shooting and short term management support. He has an informal, relaxed style and is a good lateral / 'out of the box' thinker.

Satnam has a Post-Graduate Diploma in Housing Administration and is a Corporate Member of the Chartered Institute of Housing.

Christine Gummerson

Neighbourhood Operations Manager KNH

Christine
Christine has worked In Housing Management for twenty two years and has been a manager for seventeen years. She has worked in Kirklees for the last thirteen years and prior to that she was a Housing Manager for Bradford Council. Christine has been a member of the Chartered Institute of Housing since 1990 and is currently studying for an MBA.

Christine manages a team of 40 staff and is responsible for the management of about 6000 properties in the north of Kirklees. She has considerable experience in regenerating failing estates and is passionate about good, intensive estate management being the key to addressing declining estates. She also has extensive experience in partnership working, community action planning and community cohesion initiatives.

John Whittington

Partnering Manager KNH

John
John has been employed with Kirklees Council and subsequently with KNH since 1981. After 17 years with the Direct Labour Organisation, John moved into Housing Management and worked as a technical officer inspecting repairs and voids. In 1999 John became a project manager, predominantly supporting the Best Value review and Service Improvement Plan for repairs and voids services.

John is now working as a Partnering Manager with specific responsibility for implementing and managing Responsive Repairs and Empty Homes. John recently attained an MA in Housing Policy and Practice at Sheffield Hallam University along with a post graduate diploma, and has a practitioner’s certificate in Prince 2 Project Management.
