KNH Excel Community Grant - Criteria

You will be able eligible for a KNH Excel community grant if your project is community based and you can show how the project will benefit the community, providing you meet the following conditions.
- The group's activities must include clear benefits for the residents of a KNH estate
- One active member of the group must be either a KNH tenant or leaseholder
- Each group is limited to only one grant per annum
- A group cannot receive more than one grant for the same activity
- KNH Excel will only provide one application per event regardless of how many groups are involved.
- The maximum grant that can be awarded is £500
- Community groups will not be eligible if they are deemed to be in breach of KNH's Equal Opportunity Policy
- The successful group must be willing to be included in KNH publications
- Full details on how the grant will be spent, including how the grant will benefit the community, must be provided
- The group must provide full audited details on how the grant was spent
- Unsuccessful applicants have a right of appeal.
What will not be funded?
- Party political activities
- Activities where the primary purpose is to promote religious beliefs
- Projects for personal profit
- Social trips or holidays
- Prizes
- Salaries (fees for consultants or sessional workers)
- Ongoing running costs
- Retrospective applications
- School activities that clearly fall within the national curriculum
- Any room/premises hire
- Hiring of bouncy castles
