Pond dipping at Oakwell
Feedback from parents on the estate was that the week of activities was a great way for the children to learn to get along.
As part of an ongoing cohesion project, 28 children from the Wilton and Fieldhead estates also took part in a wide range of fun and positive activities, including sculpture making, den building, arts and crafts, healthy cooking, dancing, song writing and sports activities.
The summer sessions were organised by KNH and supported by a range of partners including tenant and resident associations, community rangers, Communities United Project, young people’s service and the police.
