Mr Fenwick, our lucky prize draw winner

Mr Fenwick, our lucky prize draw winner

At the end of October, we entered all our tenants (over 8,000 of you!) who pay their housing rent by direct debit into a national prize draw. The draw is run by BACS in order to promote payment by direct debit and is open to all social landlords.

Five prizes were up for grabs and Mr Fenwick, a council tenant from Brockholes, was chosen at random as one of the lucky winners.

He has been presented with £1,000 of Love2shop vouchers in time for Christmas. He plans to use some to help support the work of the Salvation Army and spend the rest on his family.

Mr Fenwick set up a direct debit in June 2016 having previously paid his rent weekly at the Post Office. Explaining why he decided to change the way he pays his rent, he said; " times change and it’s just easier. I don’t have to worry about paying my rent - it's all done automatically."
