Over 100 children from Rawthorpe, Town and Springbank estates in Huddersfield enjoyed a variety of activities during the summer holidays, including geo-caching, bug hunts, cooking, road safety and a summer barbecue.
Catching speeders in Rawthorpe
Meanwhile in Dalton, an estate clean up and litter pick saw local children helping KNH housing officers and estate caretakers, while also learning first hand about the problems caused by littering.
Over in Golcar, 15 youngsters took part in a cycling event, with six of them getting donated bikes from the Streetbikes scheme to take home and keep. Volunteers and children alike had a brilliant time.
The summer sessions were organised by KNH and supported by a range of partners including tenant and resident associations, community rangers, Communities United Project, young people’s service, Streetbikes and the police.
