Kirklees search for residents celebrating 60 years with The Queen

Release Date: 18-Apr-2012
Are you celebrating a 60th birthday or 60th wedding anniversary during Diamond Jubilee Year?

The Diamond Jubilee will mark 60 years since The Queen came to the throne and will be celebrated by an extended bank holiday weekend in June 2012 from June 2 to 5.

At the launch of the Kirklees celebrations to mark this special occasion, the Mayor has announced that an Afternoon Tea will be held in Dewsbury Town Hall for residents sharing their special year with Her Majesty.

The event will take place on Saturday 2 June 2012, and the Mayor’s Office is looking for residents celebrating either a 60th birthday or 60th wedding anniversary during 2012 to get in touch.

If you have a 60th celebration this year or know of someone who is celebrating their 60th Birthday or Anniversary, please contact Sally Tostevin at the Mayor’s Office on 01484 221905.
