Residents of Brooklyn Grange, Cleckheaton, held a special fundraising day last week (28 June).
They raised a very impressive £682 through a combination of strawberry cream teas, raffles, tombola, white elephant, book and cake stalls.
Ten percent of the proceeds will be donated to the Take Heart charity at the Yorkshire Heart Centre and another ten percent to the Arthritis and Rheumatism Society.
The remaining money will be put into the Grange social fund, which is used towards trips out throughout the year and the annual Christmas party.
Although everyone played a part, special thanks go to Les and Margaret Blakeley, Fred Whiteley, Margaret Hirst. Roy Broadbent, who were the main organizers of the event.
