Would you like to make a difference to how tenant and leaseholder services are delivered to you, your home and your community?
Kirklees Neighbourhood Housing (KNH) is setting up two new tenant led panels and is on the lookout for members.
It’s an exciting time to be a tenant or leaseholder of KNH as we look to improve our approach to tenant involvement and make sure tenants and leaseholders truly have a voice in how tenant and leaseholder services are delivered. We understand that where you live is your home – not just bricks and mortar and that’s why we want our tenants and leaseholders to help make up our new panels. We are setting up a Tenant and Leaseholder Panel and a Service and Improvement Panel and both will report directly to the KNH Board.
The Tenant and Leaseholder Panel will ensure tenants are at the heart of all KNH do. The Panel will drive service improvements and help develop new policies that will benefit tenants and leaseholders as well as the community as a whole. As a member of the panel you will ensure tenant and leaseholder concerns about housing issues are raised and addressed and help us deliver improvements to things such as our approach to repairs and how we tackle anti-social behaviour. Your input on behalf of all of our tenants and leaseholders will be wide, varied and very much valued.
The Service and Improvement Panel will be much more closely involved in advising KNH on the day-to-day realities of living in one of our homes and how we can make improvements, not just in what we do but also how we do it. You will capture the experiences of your fellow tenants and leaseholders in your own community and, combined with your own feedback, will help us to deliver a much improved and responsive relationship between us and our tenants and leaseholders. The requirements for this panel will vary depending on the subject so we are keen to appoint people with a range of skills and experience, all focused on helping us get better at what we do.
We have held some work shops with information about being on our Tenant Panels and are looking to book more in the near future.
