What do I need to do to pay by direct debit or reinstate my direct debit?

Simply download a direct debit form, complete it, return it to us and wel’ll do the rest. We offer a choice of weekly or monthly payment dates on 5th and 28th of each month. Just select the date that best suits your budget.

If you decide to pay monthly, your first payment must be four weeks in advance and each subsequent payment must maintain this position or your account will fall into arrears at some point during the four-week period, triggering administration costs for ourselves and early recovery action being taken against you.

You must continue to pay your rent until the date your direct debit payment is due. You will be notified by letter 10 working days in advance of the payment being taken out of your bank account.

Will the direct debit payment always leave my account on the same date each month?

Payments will normally be taken from your account on the same date of each month, or Friday of each week. If your due payment date falls at a weekend or bank holiday, we will normally take the money from your account just after that due date.

How can I change my payment date?

What is the direct debit guarantee?

The guarantee is offered by all banks and building societies that take part in the direct debit scheme. The efficiency and security of the scheme is monitored and protected by your own bank or building society.

If the amounts to be paid or the payment date changes, we will notify you at least 10 working days in advance of the change. If we or your bank make an error, you are guaranteed a full and immediate refund.

How do I cancel my direct debit?

To cancel your direct debit, just write to your bank or building society. It would be helpful if you also let us know.

How do I reinstate my direct debit?

If you have cancelled your Direct Debit and wish to reinstate it you will need to contact your Bank and they will advise you what you need to do.
