Accidental damage such as plumbing leaks/electrics are your responsibility to repair and you must ensure that any damages to adjoining properties are rectified. Under no circumstances will internal repairs be booked. Please ensure your contents are insured.
Kirklees Council will not under any circumstances carry out repairs within your flat. Unless they are required to maintain the structure of the building

Scheme and Major works including cyclical maintenance
These works will cost more than £250 and will have consultation and a notification period of anything up to 3-12 months prior to the scheme commencing, as per Government legislation. This entails having to go out to tender, receive tenders and advise of shortlist of interested companies,all of which will be informed to the Leaseholder properties concerned allowing for observations and enquiries.
These works will be charged after completion and notified and invoiced at the mid-year reconciliation point.
