Do you know of any ex-council and private open market properties up for sale?
The Housing Growth team are looking to ramp up the number of purchases of homes up for sale in the Kirklees area through the Council’s buyback scheme.
We are now not only purchasing ex-council properties, but also private properties up to the value of £150k on or near our existing Council estates.
So, if you identify a potential property the Council could purchase back in the Kirklees area. We are keen to acquire more family homes – houses with 3 or more beds and 1 to 2 bed bungalows in the Huddersfield, Dewsbury, Batley, Cleckheaton, Liversedge, Heckmondwike, Holmfirth, Dewsbury, Mirfield and Flockton areas.
We have a multi-million-pound budget to spend this financial year and a maximum of £150k to spend on a property dependant on the property type, property condition, geographic location and the return on our investment over a 30-year period.
Through purchasing more homes, we help address the huge demand on our Council Housing register by adding additional properties to our Council housing stock which tenants can bid on using Choose and Move.
This also counters the effect of the number of properties being lost through the right to buy scheme. Since 2015 we have successfully bought back 120 properties offering a very fair market price through our buyback scheme.
If you spot an ex-council property for sale, please contact us Jonny Thwaite on email@example.com or alternatively contact us on 01484 416439.
